ANZAC Day March Cotton Tree
It was a very proud moment when we arrived at Cotton Tree to find such a large contingent of Mooloolaba State School students waiting to participate in this year's ANZAC Day march. Thank you to all the parents and families that joined with us on this special morning - and thanks to our wonderful students that so ably represented their school. We had planned for a large turn-out, but our expectations were well and truely exceeded. It was an honour to see so many of our students attending this year. Special thanks to Madi and  Zane for sitting with me and waiting their turn to lay the wreath during the ceremony.

Dr Michael Carr-Gregg’s Learning and Wellbeing free seminar
All parents and carers are encouraged to attend a free event (Monday 21 May, 6:30pm-8pm) with respected child and teenage psychologist Dr Michael Carr-Gregg.

As there is a very strong link between the wellbeing of young people, and their ability to learn and achieve in education, Dr Carr-Gregg will outline ways that you can support your child’s wellbeing at home, which will in turn help them during their school years.

A separate session is also being held for Principals, Deputy Principals and teachers so we are all working together to enhance the wellbeing of our students.

The parent information session is being held at the Crowne Plaza Pelican Waters Golf Resort and Spa, 38 Mahogany Drive, Pelican Waters Caloundra. Light refreshments will be available.

Or register online here.

Welcome to Term 2!
I trust all our families had a safe and enjoyable break over the holidays. It was wonderful talking to our students on Monday and listening to all their adventures.

This term will be another busy and excting term with lots of activities and events. Please check back regularly to keep up to date with what's happening at the school.
