Prep to Year 7

Just five minutes walk from the famous Mooloolaba Beach and set in over four hectares of open and shaded grounds, Mooloolaba State School provides excellent educational, cultural and sporting programs for children from Prep to Year 7.
Its grounds boast two large sporting ovals, three adventure playgrounds, two tennis courts, an environmentally pristine wallum forest, and two outdoor performance spaces.
With only half the number of students (< 450) as other nearby state and private schools, Mooloolaba State School offers room for your child to learn and play in a safe, healthy and friendly atmosphere.
Our educational and extra-curricular programs make excellent use of these facilities.

Mooloolaba State School is a member of the Mountain Creek Cluster of schools. It works closely with the highly acclaimed Mountain Creek State High School to ensure a seamless transition from Yr 7 to Yr 8. In 2007, our focus has been on developing innovative curriculum projects in mathematics and science including -

After working with University staff our teachers are now recognized as leaders in these curriculum fields throughout Queensland and Australia.

Mooloolaba State School students enjoy a computer to student ratio of better than 1:3 which is almost 200% better than the state average. In addition, the school boasts two air-conditioned computer labs, data projectors, electronic whiteboards and students and teachers use digital still and movie cameras in many curriculum programs to enhancing the learning experiences for our students.
