Mooloolaba State School is one of the founding schools on the Sunshine Coast, celebrating its 75th Anniversary last year. Over the years it has made a significant contribution to its community through developing children's knowledge and skills enabling them to be active, participating and valuable members of the community.
The school provides an exciting unit based curriculum in a supportive environment. We strive to have all 450 students develop their ability to self manage their behaviour and learning with the guidance of an experienced and professional staff.
Our new school motto is 'Imagine, Create, Achieve' and we are proud of the outstanding results achieved in recent years. Mooloolaba State School has won many major awards including the State and National Wakakirri Story Dance competition, National Numeracy Award, National Literacy Award, and the Queensland Showcase Award for Excellence in Education. In July two of our year 7 students traveled to Japan to the Global Awards of Panasonic's Kids Witness News competition. Winning the Best Ecology Short Film is another example of the school's is strength in the Arts.
In 2009 we are looking to the future with enthusiasm. New facilities with the construction of a new Multi-Purpose Hall, Resource Centre and Science Innovation Centre will be completed in October.
Mooloolaba State School is the perfect setting for your child to begin a fantastic future.
