Yr 3 - Buderim Forest Park

18/09/2018

Year Three have been learning how to identify living things and animals based on observable features during their Science unit this term. We recently went on an excursion to Buderim Forest Park to explore the many living plants and creatures that live in the rainforest. The children had a lot of fun being young Scientists and classifying living or non-living things according to observable features.

One of the highlights for the students were being able to dip net in the creek and discover the numerous creatures that lived in the creek. They were able to apply their knowledge of using a branching key to identify and classify the different types of creatures found. This excursion was a fun, enjoyable day of learning.
